As
a person who grew up in a fairly large urban area, I have always had
an appreciation for some of the elements that typically make up such
an environment. As an adult, I truly came to develop
an additional affinity for the sights, smells and sounds of the natural
world around us. This image was shot within a 20 plus acre
protected green space only a few miles from my inner city home. Upon
scaling a wall of about 50 feet or so to reach this particular and
little known spot, those who venture to it are greeted by a wonderful
mix of both the urban and the natural all rolled into one simple
setting. For me, it is a scene I visit with some frequency for the
solitude and solace it can leave on one's mind and in one's heart.
